Finding your connections

Matching GO and TTC departures for your trip.

Schedules, with the whole journey in mind.

Departures come from published timetables. Personal subway ride allowances, when set, change planning arrivals and onward connections. These are not live predictions; disruptions are not automatically included. The alternatives cover your two train + subway routes; replacement buses are not planned.

Why can Line 1 take longer?

The time marked “on the subway” covers the ride only. For example, a 38-minute ride plus 10 minutes walking and 5 minutes waiting means 53 minutes from GO arrival at Union to York. Each card now shows that combined time for its actual connection.

Track speed restrictions, holding at stations, congestion, and missed trains can add more. TTC explains that a slow zone can add around 1–3 minutes, but adding every zone blindly could double-count time already built into a schedule.

For a personal estimate, time several rides from doors closing at your origin to doors opening at your destination, separately in each direction. Use a typical ride time, or a slower observed ride when arriving on time matters. Enter it under “My subway ride times”; keep walking and waiting separate.

The app uses whichever is longer: the published ride or your allowance. It then finds feasible onward departures again. It does not assign a statistical confidence or guarantee the connection.
